Hypothesis
The type of selection that may be operating on human birth weight could be stabilizing selection. Stabilizing selection best corresponds to the operation on birth weights because it is a type of selection where the genetic variation descends and the environment favors the individuals that best improve the adaptation of the population. To display an example, babies that are born extremely underweight or overweight are not as healthy and have a smaller chance to survive and pass down their traits.
Procedure
In order to succeed in the lab,
1. I had to first recruit 100 different baby weights which I got from Globe and Mail.
