In this class we were learned about human behavior in an organization. We learned different ways to handle stress and other things that may arise when in the workplace. Having good communication skills and a good work ethic should make things run smoothly within a company. In my paper I will be discussing the things we learned in class and see do all of those things apply to a big organization such as Walmart. Walmart was founded by a man by the name of Sam Walton in 1962 in Rogers, Arkansas. His motto in which Walmart has made its mission statement is “We save people money so they can live better”. Sam Walton was a true visionary and worked hard to see his dream transpire. He wanted to have his store to sell American made products and have American manufacturers who could supply the things that he needed for his store at a cheap rate so that he could beat the foreign competition. As time has went on Walmart has become a very successful organization that has diversity within its company and also provides advancement for employees as well. Walmart has many different areas that have teams that contribute to the continuous success of Walmart. Those teams are the shift supervisors, cashiers, stockers and customer service workers as well. Walmart also wants to make sure that the customer is able to buy the things he or she needs for their families and has a wonderful experience while shopping as well.
