Human and Social Services is designed to objectively help people meet their human needs using interdisciplinary methods that focus on prevention as well as intervention to improve the overall quality of one’s life. Many professionals serve in various roles of Human and Social Services and facilitate a plethora of services to meet the needs of clients they serve (Bayne, Pusateri, Dean-Nganga, 2012). Human services professionals are liaisons between clients and care providers, who possess unique skills and training to navigate families through crisis situations. It provides them the ability to coordinate an array of community-based services to address problems identified in diverse cultures. In fact, human service workers are responsible for helping individuals meet basic needs mentally, physically, and emotionally. The objective is to guide clients and or families forward in life and regain their power. These efforts will encourage one to acquire the ability to overcome life challenges. Ideally, when people are empowered, they become stable in their life and develop self-sufficiency to can overcome life challenges.
