Human Action Is Divided

It is kind of hard to explain my feelings and preconceived notion about this story. With almost all stories there is a sense that there would be loss as well as there would be survival. However, with this story I thought that all would survive or either all would perish with the exception of one. This story was the test of one's will to live. And I was wrong because instead of all of the men dying with the exception of one, all survive with the exception of one.

The question was presented that does this story presents the notion that human action generally leads to satisfactory outcome. There is more than just human actions that determines whether or not there is a satisfactory outcome. There are things such as the elements that play a part in the outcome.
