Isolation. That is the category I would put the rest of my answers into. My second answer, “I am someone who likes to have my own space, but also seek a romantic relationship”, is exactly that psychosocial category in my own words, applied to myself. My forth answer is also similarly structured, “I am someone who loves independence and freedom. I am okay with being alone with myself.” I was able to connect myself closely with the intimacy vs. isolation stage. Frager and Fadiman in our textbook said, “Only after we have established a relatively firm sense of identity we are capable of developing a close and meaningful relationship with another. Only then can we think ourselves to partnership, affiliation, and intimacy with another person” (161). This quote really hit close to home because it was something I have noticed in my relationships. Once I began to figure out who I wanted to be in the world, I also began looking for someone to share my experiences
