Would you believe me when i told you that a young man at the age of 16 would be on the cover of youtube’s trending page, reaching over 6 million views and then a year later start his first international tour? Well Hugo Leclercq (A.K.A. Madeon) would prove you wrong. This young producer has quite the track record and I’d say he is the embodiment of talent. Talent is everywhere around us, but it’s not simple given to anyone. To become talented you have to invest time into your craft just like Hugo. Hugo inspired me to become an artist, so I walked that cobblestone road down and decided to take matters into my own hands. I wanted to be talented.

I realized that I want to take my talent by the reigns and reap what I sow. My production immediately took off, I broke the barriers of music. I sampled birds in my backyard and produced an entire track made of bird noises. My songs started to materialize in front of me with the swipe of my hand. It hit me. I MADE THIS MYSELF! Haters began to start poaching me out of jealousness. My music started to become music. I earned my talents, because noone was giving it to me. All the sudden I started to talk with big name artists that have appeared on BBC One radio on numerous occasions. I began to talk to my “gods” and started to realize they were real human beings. The world became much smaller and my mind became clear.
Without the desire to become an artist I would have never made it. My path was not paved, it was not given to me on a silver platter. I took it, I earned it. Like my peers before me I came to believe this one thing. Talent is earned, not
