This was the turn of the century for sex, Hugh Hefner had changed revolution with his idea of making the girl next door beautiful. In my opinion he portrayed these women in a classy and tasteful type of art. He never made any of these women pose for Playboy it was their choice to live out their fantasy. This isn't all what Hugh Hefner stood for though, he was such a wealthy and powerful man that he push boundaries and fight for what he believed in. He fought for the beginning of birth control, was a believer of gay rights, as well as rights for blacks, in a time where you would be frowned upon for those thoughts. In fact, the Playboy Club was the first club to allow both blacks and whites together enjoying each others company. For Cosmopolitan, I can't agree with so much, maybe in the beginning they set out for a sexual liberation, but soon changed to focus on how to please your man. Sex is the main focus in Cosmopolitan magazine, which isn't the problem. The problem is that it is giving girls a false sense of appreciation in satisfying your man, when it should be focusing on how to better yourself, believing in yourself,
