1- I think the author begins his essay by description Borders Café because it is a small scene of the daily life. The scene in the café reflect the people’s new Social life. How they act in public places and how they cope with the technology.
I do not know if he choice this place by chance, because the cafe’s name concert with the author main idea. He talked about the real borders of the private and public mean. His description remind me about the picture which we see in the street, coffee shops, book store, offices or wherever we go to every day. He focused on the picture that we may have not noticed before, because we are part of it.

2- He talked about the technology and how it influence in our life by different ways. How people do not enjoy the life and stock with their devices. How it redefine the private and public and exchange the borders. How it mixed

He talked about three different examples in the article. Those three people are in different ages and genders. Also, those three people have different interests. This tell me that even if they are different, they all are busy in different things. So, he tells the story to us because it will effect on us if we continue doing this. Look how we cannot go anywhere without cellphones. But 20 years ago, people were travelling without phones.
I think the audience is appropriate because we as young people will be the population and the whole world will change.

4- I usually go to Einstein Bros in lunch break. I go there at least two times per week. There is man who sit in the store and he has laptop. All times I saw him, he wear headphones and work in the laptop. Also, he sit alone all the time I saw him. He is completely isolated from the world and. One time he realized that he was late then he run to his class. This action make me think about how he was not paying attention to people around him. He sometimes act like he is playing video games and talking to

A Rhetorical Analysis on “Suburb or Nothing” in the Memphis Flyer What should the relationship be between the suburbs and the city? The very small editorial in the Memphis Flyer gives somewhat efficient details on the term “Suburb of Nothing” originated and quoted by Mayor Mick Cornett. The writer of the article in the Commercial Appeal’s, “Suburb of Nothing”, effectively argues his/her point via the use of organization, formal tone and appeals to authority. Doing so, the writer gives history, use of words like “Summons” (in quotation in his/her own words) to illustrate a dire need of attention, and uses statistics and citations when appealing to authority such as a political magazine.…

The best short story I have read is, “Mericans” by Sandra Cisneros. The story is about a little girl who is narrating where she is caught between the ‘old’ world and the ‘new’ world. I like the mixture of Spanish words in the story such as La Virgen de Guadalupe and la ofrenda because it gives a sense of a different culture. I also like the humorous use of the ‘awful grandmother’ because the reader can visualize a specific heritage and cultural behavior. I enjoy this short story, it reminds me of my Heritage because of how hispanic grandmas pray then give ofrendas at church and take their time while doing so.…

In John Berger’s book Understanding a Photograph, he argues that there is a distinct discontinuity between an individual viewing a photo, and the actual photo. A picture solely preserves a single moment in time, and while they often act to tell a story, the medium cannot be fully interpreted without knowing the story that surrounds it. Although there is a definite connection between a photograph and the narrative that corresponds with it, the photo is only a visual aid for the story; it does not tell us everything like the written piece does. I agree with Berger’s argument that photographs can shape the written story that is told about a single character through invoking various responses, emotions, feelings, and interpretations between the…
