A new breed of potentiating, powerful, and persuasive African American activists evolved in our society. The baton of leadership was passed down to them by men and women who ran in the race of equality, justice, and self-sufficiency for their people. A militant organization leader like the late Huey P. Newton strategy lives in us. His strategy was to defend and protect his own (black people) in the wake of police brutality. The only way his strategy within the black community could be destroyed is if it’s used violently on the person who looks like him. With kids in their mothers’ womb, strategies’ were already a part of the birth of these leaders who stand in opposition to injustice toward African Americans. The truth is only held hostage in our minds which has the word “secret” written on it. No one has the integrity or courage to speak on what issues occur if the consequences they receive will hurt. New African American activist is the product of exposing and condemning negativity that flourishes in this society. Although their intention is to bring hope and uplift blacks, doing the same for other races isn’t on their “to do” list. So many issues surround us that we ran out of strategies and rely on what our predecessors implemented. Strategies such as protesting, marching, and preaching, has been useless. It’s the original platform for a black man or woman’s agenda. This platform used throughout past decades have kept us financially immobile despite if we got far as a race. Our voice has venom, but our actions aren’t the movement of a snake. Our marching keeps us moving forward only to result in us moving backward into our cage of a reprobated mind. Protesting can’t even go through a metal detector without the alarm going off. Unfortunately, the grudges from slavery we hold keep us from thoroughly understanding our rights we want. Anger is what blinds our outlook on the solution which is wanting to be treated fairly. Most of this transpires into us becoming the problem when we let go and give up on the …show more content…
These strategies can build character and produce faith within the heart. In order to create something, you have to start with nothing. In this case, new African American activist is seen as nothing and must bring attention to them to become something. Most of the strategies that haven’t been created should be a nuclear weapon to fight against injustice on African Americans. No one wants to live in fear, no wants to have their voices sealed, and no one wants to live in a world where change isn’t occurring. Succeeding in these strategies is the overall goal, and only failing would keep everyone in the same
