We are currently working on the “You Matter” event, to help the at-risk children and families know that they matter to us and to society. This event will expose many individuals to different community agencies and people that care and want to help them reach their goals. As a future health educator, I play an important role in planning this event with Steven Campos. My responsibilities are to assess needs, plan, implement, conduct, administer, manage, serve, and communicate to my best ability. After, the “You Matter” event is over then I will start working closely with the care managers to observe their jobs. So far, I reached out to many community partners to see which workshops they are doing for the “You Matter” event. Also, I got ROTC from William L. Dickinson High School to come out to the event to perform one of their drills and to help empower the children. I confirmed the attendance for several of organizations and I started to make a blueprint for the event. By creating a blueprint for the “You Matter” I used GMPP (Generalized Model for Program Planning) to help me get all my ideas down. I assessed the needs of the target population and after assessing the program, I came up with some goals and objectives. Lately, I have been working on the blueprint for the event and the website page for Hudson Partnership CMO. The website is very important to Hudson Partnership CMO because it is community based resources that are relevant to children and are more accessible to Care Mangers, families, services providers, and the community (Hudson Partnership, 2016). I look forward to learning about complex behavioral and mental disorders and planning more events with Hudson Partnership
