Hubris is a personality trait meaning having excessive foolish pride or self-confidence. This term is not to be confused with a person who has confidence. Some of the characteristics include flaws in their personality of a character who enjoys having powerful positions; overestimating their capabilities to such an extent that they lose contact with reality; crossing normal human limits and violates moral codes. The main one that comes to mind is Tony Montana in “ Scarface.” This character is the leader of a large drug cartel. His ego and paranoia cause his ultimate downfall.
