I am currently the CEO of a large Health Services Organization (HSO) located at Florida. It has inpatient and outpatient services, home healthcare facilities, and a world well-known AIDS treatment center. My HSO has always enjoyed an excellent reputation, until recently someone downloaded the names of 4,000 HIV+ patients and sent the list all around the world. The board of trustees blames me for this unforeseen incident and they are so furious that they wanted me fired. I have convinced them that it would be wise to keep me to fix the HSO’s Management Information System (MIS). I have only two options in front of me at the moment, either I fix the problem that has arisen or be prepared to resign.
