The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is responsible to assure the protection of the environment and the people’s health, by providing a clean air and a clean water.
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), is responsible to protect workers against work injury and disease. The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), is responsible to provide accurate information by using the science to prevent people to be exposed to toxic chemicals which can lead to several diseases. Cleveland area is surrounded by a vast variety of factories where air quality is an issue. Hence, poor air quality has a negative impact on asthmatic, elderly, and children.
