Seattle is located at latitude 47.60’N, longitude 122.33’W (Worldatlas, 2015). Seattle is located on Puget Sound which connects to the Pacific Ocean (Worldatlas, 2015). Seattle is in the northern-western part of the State of Washington between the Pacific Ocean and the Pacific Mountain Range.

Also, Seattle contains one of the largest container-cargo ports in the United States which make it important to the US and globally (McNamee, 2017). There are also railroads for shipping goods from the Port of Seattle to other locations in the US which make Seattle’s location even more important (McNamee, 2017).
