The presentations for Unit 0 were focused on introducing yourself to thee class. Each student’s presentation I watched covered all the topics of background, occupation, education, interests, and course goals. I chose each presentation strategically to learn more about each student because they were not in my HSEM class last semester. Steel Mcneil is currently a captain with Kodiak Fire Department with a background in the fire service throughout high school and college. He is taking this class to continue to complete his bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security and Emergency management. While spending time with his two daughters he enjoys fishing and the outdoors. In addition to learning more about the emergency services he is dedicated to mastering …show more content…
He is a student firefighter aspiring to become a fire fighter paramedic. Hs interests include physical activities and music. He enrolled in this course to attain a degree focused on fire concentration. His goals after receiving a degree are to continue working as a career firefighter and use his education to attain a leadership position in the fire service. The last presentation I watched was Ron Hoogestraat. I would describe him as a world traveler through his service in the Navy. His moto is “Initial Success or Total Failure” meaning try until there is nothing left. He is working on his Master’s Degree in Professional Communications with an emphasis on emergency communications. The hope is that he learns more about emergency management activities from taking this course.
I found that all three students are expecting to come of the class with more knowledge and experience. However, where they plan to use it is where they differ. Ron wants to apply his new material to a Master’s degree in communication. Bryan hopes that it can help him be a better leader both as a fire officer and paramedic eventually. Finally, Steel will use his new knowledge learned in this class in his everyday work environment as a fire captain in Kodiak,

Now if all 422 stores in the country are using the same amount of receipt paper as my store at 3 boxes a month that's $850752 a year.…

Having HIV is no longer a death sentence now that someone can live a normal life. With recent medications and treatment options, this disease is considered manageable just like any other chronic disease. If I were diagnosed with HIV, my immediate reaction would be shock, surprise, sadness, fear, concern over my future, depression, shame, and isolation. Despite all the shock, if there is someone that would tell me I can still leave a normal life and teaches me how to achieve it, I would go for it quickly in other to be there long enough for my family.…

It is important that any needs are identified so that the correct support/intervention is given in order to prevent the development delay getting worse and spreading to other areas of the child’s development. Some of the interventions used are explained…
