Review, 2011). Patients, on average, have to wait a standard of about 3 weeks for a scheduled time to see a doctor; and when the individual shows up, they will need to wait even longer (Harvard Business Review, 2011). This would also be a very effective means to monitor wait time patient outcomes. …show more content…
It is not a quality outcome when someone could have an ambiguous irregularity in their body and it takes several weeks to conclude what this is (Harvard Business Review, 2011). This is because the test results are bouncing between different medical professionals (cardiologists, oncologists, etc...) (Harvard Business Review, 2011). With a team present, they can look at the results together and determine what the issue is in much less time (Harvard Business Review, 2011). This is why it is critical to have a team mentality. I believe every hospital should have a direct team available in case an abnormality happens. And if they have this, they can ensure better patient outcomes.
The second issue that I am looking to cover; how do we contain the gross over spending in our health care system? Furthermore, what exactly is the cause of the excess spending in our health care system? There are actually multiple reasons that our health care spending is out

The CDC reported that between 2003 and 2009, mean wait time to see a provider increased 25%, from 46.5 minutes to 58.1 minutes (Hing & Bhuiya, 2012, para. 3). There are so many aspects to the healthcare field that affect the “Iron Triangle”. It is up to us as healthcare manager to know healthcare in and out so we can implement and decide what direction we need to direct our staff everyday.. We need to understand the impact modern medicine has, why healthcare cost is rising, what major issues we are facing, understanding Medicaid and Medicare and the current state of national health policy. If we were to change one thing it would have to be that there would be a cap on how things are charged so that people were not overcharged for something just because the doctor can. This would help the health care system so much in having a budget to plan for national epidemics.…
