There are ways of handling this case differently from employer and employee. Let's start with the hiring phase: 1. The employer did not ask the candidate any questions about his ability to perform the job (asking questions can help you decide if the candidate is fit for the job). 2. The employer failed to ask if there are any issues with the availability to attend these days/hours and mandatory meetings (Addressing the issues of hours and days during interviews will cause fewer problems during their time at the company).…

The adjustments that I would make as a manager would be for Pam to try another way (without using more money), other than brochures such as: to call the list of senior executives and schedule meetings, power point presentations with statistics, so she could sell them the program and answer any questions about the senior executive leadership program; Pam should also send them emails with an option for comments to receive feedback from the senior executives. This will entice the senior executives to go to the training program. Pam should continue the program and run it at a loss, because 10 senior executives are enrolled in the program; 10 people are better than nothing, at least with 10 people the company will get some of the money back. Also the program starts in four weeks, which gives an open door for more people to register. Pam should make sure that the senior executives have the best experience so that they approve the training for the mid-level managers.…

The Equal Pay Act was put into act in 1963” (Meric, Linda), and yet there is still a wage gap between men and women. There is no reason for men to be paid more than women for the same job. We need to notice that this is still happening even after laws have been passed to stop it.…

Elderly people have always held a special place in my heart, so I wanted to do my field work in a nearby nursing home that I had never visited. I set out to learn about the quality of life that elderly people had in the nursing home and what contributed to that quality, either good or bad. I called ahead to get permission to do this assignment and get access to various areas of the building. I did not give a specific time or day so that I could ensure as natural setting as possible with no special accommodations from the home. I was allowed to make my observations in various parts of the building such as the lobby, lunchroom, and activities room.…

Unfortunately, there are many obstacles in society that will occur and effect plans that are currently in place contract wise. Those obstacles can generally be resolved with little to no hesitation, but some can become a bit more challenging. For those that become more challenging, they quickly move from the area of being identified as obstacles to being considered damages. With that being said, punitive damages are “generally not awarded in an action for breach of contract,” according to Roger Miller. As many people prefer to be refunded or reimbursed for the dilemma which occur during the breach of a contract, punitive damages on the other hand are more beneficial for punishing the wrongdoer instead.…
