She would occasionally show us videos of Dave Ramsey, who gave lesson over how to live your life financially. I found a great interest in these videos right from the start. Ever since I was a kid I had always found an interest in business, and the ability to make money grow. Mrs. Keehner, without knowing it, had opened my perspective up far more than imaginable. During my sophomore year I had spent very little time with Mrs. Keehner, as I did not have any classes with her, and this was the year that we had changed advisory. Throughout this year I was still able to learn a little more about real life …show more content…
However, at the end of the year prior, she had decided to retire, but do to the fact that they could not find a teacher to replace her she ended up coming back in October of the next school year. At this time I was currently taking Intro to Business, and I was upset because up until she had returned I had learned very little. From the start, I thought that I was going to hate marketing, but she made it completely different than what I expected it to be. If you would have asked me a year ago to draft a conference proposal I would have said it only took one or two people to complete the task needed to submit a good proposal. The last month has changed this previous mindset though, as I have found it takes many dedicated individuals to help draft a good proposal. I decided to work with Rachael Kowbel who is the Director of Admission for the College of Dentistry and we drafted a proposal discussing how closed-door student panels affect incoming students in both a positive and negative way. Below this paper will discuss how the team was formed, my individual role on the team and how all of the information came together during the process.…
