As years go by, the number of cancer patients have increased and since the HPV vaccine has been around so long and proven to prevent certain cancers, I don’t see why people wouldn’t take this vaccine to prevent them from getting cancer. Like the phrase, “it’s better to be safe than sorry” applies to this situation greatly because if the vaccine to is proven to prevent cancer than why not take it just in case if in the future you might find out that you have cancer and you could’ve prevented it, but you didn’t take the vaccine because you believed in all the stigma without looking at its benefits.

So, this is why I support taking this vaccine rather than passing up an opportunity up for not having certain

Vaccination rates for HPV are relatively low. Receiving the recommendation from a doctor to get vaccinated, strongly correlates to receiving the vaccine (Ylitalo, Lee, Mehta, 2013). The vaccination rate among informed patients is relatively the same for all races and ethnicities in the Unites States. This indicates that race and ethnicity does not impact the willingness to receive the vaccination in this study. However, non-Hispanic whites were 10% more likely to receive the recommendation.…
