Based upon these two documents, it is clear that the British fired the first shot at Lexington and Concord. 32 men testified that, “British troops, they fired on us”(Mulliken). The word of 32 men corroborate the actual shot fired at Lexington and Concord, plus if they were to lie that would be considered a felony. Furthermore, the British attempting to control America had a perfect chance to fire upon the americans as their, “Backs were turned on the british troops”(Mulliken). Any person at war that sees their rival with their back turned would be a chump if they do not fire. Lastly, the word of 32 men under oath, and common sense reveal that the British fired shot. The British wanted to control America at any circumstance, they would be willing

The British’s mistake was more severe than the patriots because the British letter that was intercepted causing a giant problem with them. Having a letter forged and being told there were no serious threats in Georgia was a major problem. Georgia was in serious danger from being attacked by rebels, and there were not many British soldiers to defend because the forged letter recommended sending troops to another location (Daigler 58). Valley Forge-1777 In December 1777 through June 1778, Washington and his Continental Army made a winter camp at Valley Forge, which was a difficult place to live in because of the winter. Would you have stayed in Washington's army? I would stay with Washington's army because there is a lot of soldiers sick, but not a lot of them are dying, the soldiers were missing shoes and there clothes are all ripped up, but Washington is getting help, and I am not going to be a summer soldier because freedom is worth fighting for. I would not quit Washington's army because, there are a lot of sick people, but not a lot of soldiers are dying, the conditions are bad, but everyone is showing a spirit of alacrity and I'm not going to be a summer soldier because freedom is worth fighting for.…

On March 5, 1770 eight British soldiers will fire onto a crowd on Kingś street killing five colonists and injuring many more. I do not believe Captain Preston or his men are to blame for firing among what turned into a rioting mob. Throughout this paper I will prove Captain Preston and his British soldiers are not guilty of murder but instead acted in self defence against an unlawful mob. William Sawyer a Boston citizen describes what he witnessed in ¨Eyewitness accounts of the Boston Massacre (1770)¨ He states that “The people kept huzzaing.…

A massacre is known to be a brutal and indiscriminate slaughter of unimpeachable people therefore the use of the word massacre for this event is ambiguous, in truth, the Boston massacre should have been classified as a little dispute, brawl, or riot between mother country and colonies owing to the facts that; all the propaganda that was printed emphasized and exaggerated the actual actions taken by both the colonists and the British, the colonists made the first move, and the British only used what is known as self defense to protect themselves from harm. Biased opinions often affect how people tend to tell their side of the story to others, likewise, the colonists used propaganda as a way to gain sympathy and put the fault of the fight…
