I grew up with Asian culture, so any movies by Studio Ghibli was my favorite while growing up. The movie I chose for this assignment is Howl’s Moving Castle directed by Hiyao Miyazaki. Out of all great movies directed by Miyazaki, I picked Howl’s Moving Castle because the main character Howl was my childhood prince. Despite my love for Howl, I picked Sophie as an innocent character because her powers change Howl and his life. Sophie is from a middle class family and she works at a hatshop. She is hardworking because she always works after the closing time. She becomes an old woman because she refused to sell a hat to a witch. She runs away from the hat shop and goes into the woods.
