“What do you mean I’m not making a good case,” Kevin whined. Kevin was getting very upset when he couldn’t get his point across to his father.
“Okay, listen,” there was a short moment of silence as Kevin listened to what his father had to say. “If you can somehow prove to me that Cromwell needs training, I will let you do it,” Howie offered.
“YES!”, Kevin exclaimed knowing there was hope.
“But there’s a catch. You have to convince me in the next week, or Cromwell doesn’t get training,” Howie said slyly believing that Kevin wouldn’t be able to do it. Kevin was determined to prove that Cromwell deserves training. The next day Kevin gave a list of every activity Cromwell needed to do that day. “What is this?”, Howie asked in confusion.
“It’s Cromwell’s schedule for the day”, Kevin replied. If there was one way he could convince his father, it was by showing him the struggle he had with keeping Cromwell occupied. “If you do what is on this list today, you will see exactly why Cromwell needs and deserves training.

Howards End lacks the theatrical preoccupation of The Sea, The Sea, but its overall…
