Howard University Legacy

Decent Essays
Ultimately, my purpose and responsibility after attending Howard is to ensure that future students continue to receive the same opportunities that were granted to me. One of my first commitments that will ultimately carry out my legacy is a scholarship that I intend to create as a Howard alumni.
I do not aim to limit my legacy to the years following my graduation. My legacy at Howard University begins the moment I step foot on campus. As a student I will lead by example, carrying out all of Howard’s core values which will propel me as an alumni to achieve my goals. Through servitude I will aid, through leadership I will inspire, through truth I will give and gain respect, and through excellence I will succeed. I plan to create my own legacy

Everyone has a story and almost everyone wants to leave some sort of a legacy — to be remembered for something meaningful. Our legacy is part of ourselves that, will be left in the hearts and minds of others. Some people leave a positive and inspiring legacy while some people willingly or not, leave a negative one.
