don't envy the hard job that the Howard Medical School admissions committee has. Out of thousands of very qualified, competitive, and very competent applicants the committee must decide who fits best with the program and who will have the most to offer the school and the community which it serves. Like most, my young professional career is decorated with academic accomplishment and personal achievement. Today, however, I would like the committee to evaluate my readiness for medical school not only based on my achievements and personal success, but, more importantly, I would also like to be evaluated by the actions I took in the face of failure.
