The stories behind of how I found out that visual, verbal, and aural are my way styles, which I use for my learning. From my very childhood days the one thing I loved was talking. My cousins would beg me to stop talking; they have timed me for how long I can continuously talk for. I do not remember exactly what I was saying, it was random things. Since I loved talking, I liked other people who also like to talk. I tend to listen and pay very close attention to people when they talk unless what they saying is boring. As Murphy Paul said all learners benefit from some type of learning styles, you just need to try it out to find yours. “They learn more, for example, from flashcards that incorporate both text and images—charts, graphs, etc.—than from cards that display text alone” (Murphy Paul). This is a great example of how you can find your learning style. If you learn more with a flashcard that display just the text alone- you are a verbal person, because you tend to like words. If you learn more with a flashcard that has text with images, you are a visual person.
In the article Message, Method, and Medium by Robert Atwan; talks about the different ways of communication. The author talks about the 3 words message, method and medium and how these help us to communicate easily. Atwan began the article defining the word “convergence”, which means “coming together at a single point from different directions”. As in this case my single point is the learning style and different directions are visual, verbal and aural. These three learning styles are different and have its own characteristic to it, but it comes together to form my learning
