Black leadership have once established the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Despite the law that forbade, even free blacks, from preaching. It spread from Philadelphia to Charleston, and in other south areas. Because it was against the law, there were many members of the church who were arrested and charged for being a member of that church. The church suffered many brutalities. Even though people didn’t see them this way, they were highly skilled just like anyone else can be. They were highly skilled as artisans, business people, educators, writers, planters, musicians, etc. This shows that free blacks and whites are the same, that they are all people. They could be whatever and do whatever they wanted to if there were equal rights (Independence Hall
