How Unsuccessful Counselors Were Successful

Kevin experience with counselors were unsuccessful because he did not want counseling and felt he knew everything. When some people reject counseling they tend to ignore the counselor. Kevin appears to be unstable, confused and overwhelmed with life. His actions started because of his childhood upbringing and drug usage. To prevent an unsuccessful counseling session with Kevin, the writer would not dwell on Kevin's issue. The writer would talk about what Kevin loves to do which is digital gaming. As a counselor he/she must establish trust and interest in the person not just their issue.
To stop Kevin from using pornography, the counselor would ask what is it about pornography that is so exciting? What are you escaping from or trying to avoid?
