How Tom Sawyer Changes

“Change is sometimes needed to better yourself,love yourself and truly, be happy. Never stop working on being the best you can be. It's a lifelong endeavor” -Unknown. Tom from The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer went from a mischievous boy who didn't think of others or make the right decisions. To a moral conscience and now he takes his responsibilities more seriously. First of all, we see Tom Sawyer maturing and how he did childish pranks and how he can now make highly moral decisions. He enjoys playing childish games like “Indians and Chiefs” or pretending to be Robin Hood. He tries to win Becky over by passing notes and acting foolish to get her attention. Also consider his highly moral decisions like breaking the oath he took with Huck to reveal Injun Joe’s guilt in murdering Dr. Robinson. An act that freed an innocent man and placed Tom himself in jeopardy. Second, I liked science but it was never one of my favorite classes until seventh grade. I had a science teacher who never really liked me. He made me feel discouraged and never helped when I asked for it. He would ask me the answer when I just went to him saying I was confused and didn't know. It was awkward and it made me upset that he just scolded me for not knowing. We both spend time to find ourselves and to self educate ourselves. Tom learned his goals and who he is and the book ends but I will continue throughout my life to truly find myself. Everyone changes and situations always change but it's a matter of trusting God that it will change for the better. Tom learned who he is and who is important to him. I currently know where I stand and where those around me do. We both have had crazy experiences but it's but to us to decide who is toxic for us or if it's us that needs to change. That's a big part of growing up is finding yourself and knowing who you hang out
