How To Write Hardly Successful Performance Assessments

Decent Essays
I’ve been working on these difficult yet simple assignments since last Tuesday. Through these performance assessments I’ve learned many things such as, how to write paragraphs in a short amount of time. At first, I thought these assessments were a waste of time and kind of dumb. I was behind on task one and two, and I was really irritated with the assignments. Then I started to get my stuff together and I found it less complicated. The second thing I’ve learned through these assessments is that looking at the samples are extremely helpful. I found it easier when I looked at the samples and followed the same path. Lastly, I learned to persevere through all these assessments. Although it was hard because I had to put effort into these assessments

During my junior year at Stephen Decatur High School, I was enrolled in American Literature with Mrs. Moore. At first I thought she was a hard teacher because she made us write a lot. I enjoyed writing creative pieces, but in her class she gave us a prompt or we had to analyze a text and prove how the author believed in the American Dream or not. The first essay we wrote I scored a 29 out of 30 and was proud of myself because English has not always been my strongest subject. Our next assignment was on The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.…

In my science class we were assigned an assignment on gas planets. My teacher asked us to make a travel brochure on a gas planet. The expectation was that we needed to have overall brochure planet information, a life support system (hotel design), an alien drawing with a description, travel time, and a good effort and design. This assignment related to other assignments we had been given because we were previously learning about the solar system. The point of this assignment was to get a better understanding of the gas planets and to see if we would have what it takes for humans to survive on the gas planet we chose.…

On October 6, 2015 I did something I was very apprehensive about, I performed a play called, Dorothy and Alice with my classmate Alex in front of all my peers. In this whimsical play I portrayed a curious and down-to-earth girl named, Alice, while my partner, Alex portrayed a timid and modest girl named, Dorothy. The dramatic comedy, Dorothy and Alice discreetly joins two diverse worlds and teaches an awe-inspiring lesson. It was intriguing to read the script, memorize it, and perform it onstage in front of my whole class, I never thought I’d be able to carry out the performance, especially with all the trouble I had at the start. Without the help of my supportive partner, Alex I would have not been able to execute a satisfactory performance.…
