I read The Lying Game by Sara Shepard. This book is filled with lies, games and murder. The Lying Game is written by American author Sara Shepard. Sara is 39 years old and she has been writing for as long as she can remember. In 1999 she got her bachelor of science degree from New York University and 5 years later in 2004 she received her master of fine arts degree from Brooklyn College. Sara's first job was publishing and producing magazines for clients at Time, Inc. In 2005 she began writing books of her own. Her first two adult novels were The Visibles and All the Things We Didn't Say, which were published in 2009. Sara's most famous series is Pretty Little Liars. The book series actually became a tv show on ABC Family and it is now on its 7th season. In The Lying Game there is one main character that is in the book the whole time. Her name is Emma Becker. Emma is 17 years old and she is a foster kid. She has lived in many different homes throughout her life, so as you can imagine she hasn't had the easiest life. Her life didn't get any easier once she found out she had a twin sister. Emma found her twin over social media and her name was Sutton Mercer. When Emma went to meet up with her sister, she found out that she was dead. Emma then had to take Sutton's place in her life and find out who murdered her. …show more content…
The Lying Game is told in Sutton's perspective. It shows her looking on as Emma takes over her life and tries to find her murderer. Before Sutton died it seemed like she had it all. She was a very pretty seventeen year old girl who had friends, a boyfriend, and a lot of money. The bad part about Sutton was that her and her friends weren't very nice. They played mean pranks on kids in school, adults in town, and even on each other. That made everyone hate them. Someone might have hated Sutton so much that they actually killed
