Everyday after school, I would see this blind accordion man on the side of the street with his dog. I used to be scared of him, but not anymore now that I grew older. Every time someone dropped money in his case he would say “God bless America”. During winter vacation, I started a coat drive for homeless people so that they could have coats in the winter. Mr. Tushman told me that was a great way to spend my winter break. I used to be best friends with this girl named Ellie, but I’m not her best friend anymore ever since she hung out with the popular girls. We had dance tryouts and I ended up making the team! Summer and I discovered that we both know the blind accordion guy on the side of the rode and how he just disappeared. We both want to find him so Summer and I started this thing to find him and eventually Ximena joined in on it. One day I was walking home with my friend Maya and it was the first day it actually wasn’t snowing so we went to an ice cream shop and Maya showed me a note she wrote to Ellie and how she was mad at her. I tried talking her out of it, but she went ahead and gave it to her since she saw her there and so was the whole school. Later on that day I saw the accordion man, but he got on the bus before I could say anything to him. The next day it was Gala( the place i’m dancing at) and we were all so excited. The dance went very well. The next day after school I saw the accordion man and we talked and he went to see his daughter and he’s not homeless! Mr. Tushman asked me if it was okay if he gave the student of the year thing to Auggie to make him feel good about himself since I was the one who always got awarded that and I was perfectly fine with
