24 For the first time, he heard something that he knew to be music. He heard people singing. Jonas leaped off of the sled, clutching Gabe in his arms and started running. “Oh you have to try it! It is so good and it makes you feel warm inside.” Jonas started to think about the giver and if he had any memories of what hot chocolate is or if the community is in chaos. Jonas almost started to wish he hadn’t left. Gabe started to laugh and repeated the word chocolate.
“I’ll take that as a yes,” the old man laughed. “You can call me George, I am the grandpa. Annie go get these boys a cup of hot chocolate.” The woman finally came down with red and green tunics. Jonas had never seen multi colored tunics, each tunic in his selection was one
