The topic I chose for this assignment was Diabetes, I choose this because of the personal effect it has on me. One of my best friends and her younger brother we diagnosed in the past year I have wanted to know as much as I can about the different Types and effects on people’s lives. In this report I am going to compare and contrast the two common types of Diabetes and how ultimately we can treat this awful disease.

It is caused by obesity, high blood pressure, not exercising and just an all-around unhealthy lifestyle. This Type of Diabetes is one of the most common types and most preventable. It accounts for 90-95% percent of the cases, it normally occurs in men and women over 40 and overweight. They also have to have a family history of the disease. The symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes is very much like Type 1, with being excessive thirst, unration and extreme hunger. Well when it comes to Type 1 there is no cure but it is manageable with insulin treatments for the rest of your life and eating a well-balanced diet. Type 2 Diabetes on the other hand can be reversed with different lifestyle stages and especially losing weight and eating whole foods, this type can also be improved with weightless surgery. Both of the diabetic types involve treatment of medicines and exercise to control blood sugar level.
