Police Brutality For several of years the judicial system has not been fair. There are individuals that are in jail whom should not be and there are individuals who have not been arrested for there illegal actions. For several decades a lot of individuals have been killed or handled roughly by police officers. Some individuals think the officers are doing their job where other individuals feel as if they are abusing their power. The purpose of this paper is to get to the bottom of police brutality. Everyone has a purpose for their life, and no one life should be taken due to violence or a misunderstanding. The number of deaths that are caused from deadly force of an officer has increased over the years, and I will get to the bottom of everything. My research question is why are so many officers are using deadly force on individuals? Are they taking the correct precautions due to the individuals actions? That has a lot to do with their performance so I would like to do research to see how many police are getting the proper training. I will go into depth regarding critical issues and high risk activities which will consist of minorities in policing, use of non-deadly force, use of deadly force, and police pursuits. I am also going to compare several statistic from various of years to analyze different areas that police brutality was taken place. I will focus on if the area was high or low income as well. It’s a reason that police brutality is taking place and I do not believe that the police are doing their job correctly. I could be wrong, but I absolutely doubt that. All of the research that I will conduct and analyze, I will definitely figure out whether officers are doing their job correctly, or taking the lives of innocent
