Texting and Driving Have you heard of people getting into accidents from being on their phone? Almost everyone has seen it. People don’t realize how distracted they can get from texting. Some people may text while they are stopped, however you still shouldn’t do it. More than half of the percent of teens in South Dakota die each year of texting. Some say that ninth-graders are the most popular for getting into accidents. This is why ninth-graders are just starting to learn to drive, more so than other teens. People should always listen to who is saying you shouldn’t text and drive. If you do this, your history, there’s no going back. Texting while driving may be the last text you’ll ever send. Why do people do this? They do this, due to they can’t put their phone down for more than a few minutes. If they are at home or doing something else, that’s fine. My point is that people don’t care or believe in accidents. Well, that’s not going to happen. I’ve heard tragic things happen from teens who text while drive. I personally …show more content…
How would you like seeing a family member or best friend died from texting while driving? I sure wouldn’t want that. That would be one of the hardest things that could happen in your lifetime. It’s bad enough seeing on the news all the time, or people talking about it. The thing that teenagers don’t get is that they are just learning to drive and they text while driving. I don’t think a teenager or anyone should even look at their phone, unless they are stopped. I have a friend who had a friend that got killed in a car accident. My friend told me that she was going too fast on the road. I know that’s not texting and driving, on the contrary she probably get distracted by something.
