ROLE-RELATIONSHIP PATTERN GC has no children and was never married. She has a sister, who she lives with, and a brother in Florida. She reports satisfaction with her life. She and her sister were always very close and enjoyed spending time with each other. Annie is about 5 years older then GC. Annie says that after their mother died, she became the “mom” to her siblings. Annie loves to care for her sister and always expresses how much she loves her sister. She says that no matter the outcome they will always be together. GC stated that family plays a very important role in his life and to her well being. GC is able to remain autonomous in family decision-making processes. GC reports no family problems or concerns. GC has an amazing relationship with her sister. They do everything together and Annie does an excellent job as the caretaker. She is very update on her condition by researching and reading literature. She takes GC’s vital signs every morning. She goes out of the house during the week for a couple hours to do errands when an aide comes to care for GC. Annie is prepared to handle any situation when it comes to GC. However, I am concerned with Annie’s extreme closeness with GC. GC does not have a long life expectancy. Her current condition is getting worse and seems to reaching the end of her life. I am worried on how Annie will comprehend and function afterward to her …show more content…
She does not partake in any sexual behavior with any partners. GC reports that she has amenorrhea. GC does partake in any breast exams once a month because that’s something she has always been doing due to a friend dying of breast cancer at an early age. She learned how to perform a breast exam while visiting the doctor many years ago. She reports to no abnormalities found in her breast currently. There is no other knowledge related to sexuality and reproduction.
