SCENE 8 (James’s House) (James’s is beside his mom whose drunk in the sofa)
James: Hi Mom 
Mrs. Hale: Hey Son. How’s school? (In a sleepy voice)
James: Fine. It was a good start.
Mrs. Hale: You’re such a good son. I’m sorry that you have to see me like this every day.
James: It’s okay Mom I understand. Everything will be Fine. We’ll get through this.
Mrs. Hale: I love you son. Your father would have been proud of you. I just wish he didn’t abandon us (crying) but he did. He chose his career than his family.
James: I love you too mom. I’m here for you and I’ll be the one to take care of us. (Puts on her blanket and kisses her on the forehead) I’ll take what should have been ours.
(Close Curtains)

Madeline: Is acting your passion?
James: Not really. I love playing basketball although every time I step into the court I’m constantly being reminded of my father and I never ever want to feel like he still got a hold on me.
Madeline: There’s a tryout later. You should join.

Mike: Hey bud! Look at that new kid. It’s like he’s being too comfortable around Madeline.
Adam: Uh Oh. Mike is right bro. You should set the boundaries with him.
Jasper: I’ve already talked to him. We’re fine.
Allison: Well I guess your conversation was still not clear enough.
Bria: What are you all talking about?
Mike: Just that new kid James (Looks at Jasper and noticed that Jasper is staring at James and Madeline) and how Jasper looks very jealous right now.
Bria: (She’s feeling jealous) Enough with the chit chat guys. We still have a lot of things to do for the play the day after tomorrow.

Mr. Dekker: Have you found him?
Investigator: Yes Sir.
Mr. Dekker: Where is he?
Investigator: He was last seen in Boston and according to his passport he is currently here in Phoenix.
Mr. Dekker: Find more and report it to me.
Investigator: Yes Sir.
(Investigator Exit) (Mr. Ray Enters)
Mr. Alfred Ray: There you are Alec. As I was saying, this partnership could benefit both of our company.
Mr. Dekker: It will. It will. But I still have to study this and let my attorney take a look at the papers.
Mr. Alfred Ray: Fine by me. Let’s continue this conversation tomorrow. I’ll see you in the school. I hope you’ll be watching Madeline perform.
Mr. Dekker: Of course. I wouldn’t miss it.
