Spiced Up For this project, I chose to attend a piano concert because piano was an instrument that I have been playing since a young age. I enjoyed playing it but became bored of playing the piano so I quit. Later however, I did pick it up again and started to self teach myself a few songs and then started to play it again. I remembered a few things here and there that I had learned when I was younger and started to play decently well. I find that this piano concert was very interesting. I have only gone to a couple of piano concerts before but this is the first piano concert that is classical. The other one's I've been to were just a lot of random songs that people wanted to play, and the other one was more of a modern, abstract piano concert. It was very different

I decided to stay on campus but wondered if it would really be the same or comparable to a concert that was off campus but it was. It was really nice. I think the concert hall wasn't as grand or big as other halls that I've been to but I still really liked it. It made me realize that it isn't about the hall or where it is at or the location, but the quality of music. It was a really nice concert and I feel like it really doesn't matter where it is, it just matters who is playing. The concert was at night and it was a bit inconvenient but it was interesting none the less. Something I never really understood is why concertos and music concerts like this are always at night. I can understand a rave or an artist performance being at night but not exactly a classical music concert. Raves and other artist performances are usually something to be done on a night out with friends, drinking, and having a good time, but I don't see that with a classical music

Personal Narrative It took us about 3 hours to get to Shakopee, it was only 60 degrees, but with the thousands of people lined up, waiting to get in, it felt like 90. We stood in that line for two hours. For awhile, we talked, we met a variety of people, we laughed, we were excited. But once we got closer to the front of the line we all got quiet, this is it, we were in, we were all going to see our idols.…

This Stony Brook University performance was the first time I was exposed to any performance, so throughout the concert, there were many things that stuck out to me. The first thing that stuck out to me was the dress code. Upon arrival, I was surprised by dozens in very formal outfits. Once I was in the auditorium I did notice that there were indeed no phones, people talking or people eating. I saw the pride and excitement in some of the families faces as the performance began.…

On Sunday June 12th, I attended the Oklahoma Community Orchestra Concert. This event took place at the Oklahoma Christian University Pavilion. The Concert started at 7:30pm and it was free for everyone.this was my first concert in a long time, since middle school. I got there exactly at 7:30pm, which made it hard for me to get a seat and a clear view of the concert. There were a lot of people there which meant that this was going to be a very good concert.…

The event that I attended was the fall concert by “The Dalton State Singers” that was held on the main campus of Dalton State College in the Goodroe Auditorium in Gignilliat Memorial Hall. It was a concert in which singers performed songs and the music director played the piano. Since the concert was held in the auditorium the sound was evenly distributed for everyone to enjoy. The concert was very organized which lead to a pleasurable experience.…

Jazz Night Concert Report The concert that I chose to attend was Jazz Night which was held at the Arnette Scott Ward performing Arts Center on the Pecos campus. I decided to show up to this performance because I have always had an appreciation for the skill and talent it requires to play an instrument. I was pleased by the concert because I heard a wide spectrum of timbre, and I was especially thrilled because I got to hear the brassy sound given off by the trumpets. I used to be a trumpet player…

As I walked into the Brechemin Auditorium I was immediately mesmerized by the stage. I took my seat and instantly took notice of the crimson curtain and the Grand black piano shining in the spotlight. The auditorium was much smaller than I had expected, but it created an intimacy between the musicians and audience that was necessary for the performances. During Introduction and Variations on ‘Trockne Blumen,’ D.802, I could hear the pages of sheet music turn and the breaths that the flute player would take during her performance. I was completely in awe of how beautiful the flute looked, glistening in its gold color under the spotlight as the flutist would slightly bob around when playing.…

Walking into the auditorium, I immediately noticed that the atmosphere of the concert was completely different from that of the classical concert I attended weeks earlier. To begin with, it seemed like there was much more of an audience. Everyone seemed excited for the concert to start. As for myself, I was also excited because, on the very front of the program, it said that there was a guest artist that was going to perform with the ensemble. The performers wore more of a business casual look, some were a little more dressed up than others, but overall they looked very well dressed.…

New York Philharmonic is one of my favorite places to listen to the western classical music. I always have a great positive sense after a concert. To be honest with you, the idea of attending live events is really good and useful for every student. The goal of our educational system is to make people study not only their major material, but also be well rounded and can have a conversation on different topics in other fields of studies. Live musical assignment helps the students improve their knowledge by first learning the theory in the classroom and let use critical thinking ability later during the live musical…

On Thursday, September 29th at 7:30pm I attended the LU Symphony Orchestra Concert in Towns Auditorium. Prior to the concert beginning, I noticed a wide variety of instruments on the stage. There were some instruments that I did not know the name of but for the most part, I knew a large majority of the string, woodwind and brass instruments presented. The last time that I went to a symphony was when I was in elementary school, so attending an orchestral concert in college was a much different experience. I was fascinated by the diversity of instruments.…

Opening night, the dancers that performed in the University Dance Theatre production, had talent, agility, and graceful movements. The concert had a variety of dance genres, visual appeal, and emotions that each piece and the show overall represented. Humor, drama, and serenity were not emotions I thought I would receive while watching these dances. One thing I did not realize would make many of the pieces was how crucial and reliant lighting and graphics were necessary to make the piece more visually interesting. However, I was excepting similar dances and movements; even if, some pieces had comparable choreography and emotional appeal the diversity stood out.…

The combination of this phenomenal band, the massiveness of the stadium, and the sense of community in the audience was definitely an unforgettable experience. The stadium is important because it allows us to connect with people whether it’s a concert event or sports event. As we were parking, I could see people waiting in line, not minding how the scorching sun was burning their skin. All we cared about was that we had to be there as soon as the gates opened.…
