The children of today Have you ever wondered how many kids get abused across America? Sources say that there are over 60 million child abuse cases through out the United States. That is just the cases that are reported doctors say there approximately 10,000 more cases that have not been reported. Doctors say that the fact that some have not been reported is heart breaking to them because they know the severity of the situation.

Statistics show that both parents abuse 81% of children that are abused and 88% of those parents are there biological parents. 80% of the adults that abuse their children are between the ages of 18 and 44, although people assume that it men mostly abuse children, statistics show that it is 53% women that abuse their children and only 45% men that are found guilty of abusing there child. This topic is some times to generalized where kids are not shown the seriousness that is needed when dealing with the case of child abuse because it is not their fault and they should not have to go through it so the topic should not be taking as lightly as it is in some instances. We make advances in the research and tactics to identify cases and reports of child abuse that we may not notice with out certain advances in technology and the process of schooling the professionals that deal with this topic go through. As time goes on we are getting more capable of noticing the cases early and keeping as many kids out of as much pain as humanly possible.
