I am a strongly respected woman of this civilization and will not stand for the Witch Trials to continue on any longer. The town has been under siege for long enough. I demand you stop them at once because of how much damage they have caused. The town will soon be in ruins. The only way to stop this is if you stop condemning the people, witch or not. The town’s economy will be damaged due to the Witch Trials. Many of those convicted were farmers who helped supply us with the food we need for the years to come. However, those killed are leaving behind more than cleanliness. The people killed are leaving behind their poor children. Children not of age, unable to do hard labor or to make a real living. The orphan population will only decrease as more people are convicted. For example Rebecca Nurse left behind eight children to fend without a mother. As well as, Giles Corey and his wife left behind three sons to fend without both parents. How would you feel, Mr. Danforth if your mother was ripped from your home, leaving you to learn and prosper without her guidance? That is a feeling nobody should be wished to feel. Without the guidance of parents, the children learn to pray correctly, know right from wrong, and how not to stray away from God. The killing of the condemned may bring more evil than there was before. As a result, the Witch Trials are doing more bad than good. The town is will suffer due to the trials and their results. The economy will no longer function as it once did. The amount of orphans will increase exponentially. The community will no longer function they way it once did. Consequently, the Witch Trials must come to a stop
