Many people have most likely encountered a distracted driver. And the odds are you’ve been one at some point. Even with the plethora of anti-texting and driving propaganda, we still seem to do it. But first off, who is actually texting and driving? According to statistics provided by distraction.gov, 38% of accidents caused by using a cell phone involved people of ages 20-29. Surprisingly, adults 30-39 hold second place with 20% of the crashes. Teens 15-19 only make up 11% of these crashes. For teens it’s usually a conversation with their parent that’s to blame. Sadly 26% percent of traffic fatalities are caused by distracted driving which is in third place behind drunk driving and speeding. Even with the number of fatalities, a record number
