How To Write A Personal Narrative

For my Personal narrative I began with a quick brainstorm of many different events that I remembered in detail about my life. I narrowed down the things I would love to talk about rather than other parts of my life growing up that didn’t appeal to me. I set a simple three goals for my Personal narrative to reach by the time I turned in my last final draft. I told myself I would limit grammar errors along with run on sentences. My second goal was to get at least an A- on this paper since it was my first one I have written in a while. My last goal was pick up new techniques and ways to make my paper look more appealing and interesting to the reader. I believe I did well identifying a good topic to write about, but other than that I need to do a better job finding making more challenging goals to see better outcomes.
I chose my topic by mainly searching through my past. I compared my possible topics with my ambition to write and go in depth about it. I looked to write about something that I loved and enjoyed reminiscing on. To brainstorm I wrote down plenty of ideas to talk about. I weeded out some things that weren't going to fit in as well as others like irrelevant events and such. I didn’t do much research other than looking for important details about my topic. I also keep myself from getting off track and start talking about an off topic subject. By using peer feedback I tried making my paper more engaging and correcting a few mistakes as well. I utilized my peers suggestions to better my paragraphs too. I changed up some words on my own to limit using certain words a lot more than others. I did well on using different strategies to use on improving my writing. I do need to ,however, try revising my own narrative instead of relying on others
