January 15 ,2009 the morning of my big flight from La Guardia Airport to Charlotte Douglas airport. I woke up this morning getting ready for my flight and said goodbye to my wife and kids.¨Goodbye Kyle and Lindsey I love you!¨ Once I got to Laguardia I sat down at the food market and had breakfast. When my flight was soon to leave I went to the plane and got into the cockpit ready to fly. My Copilot Jeff Skiles boarded the plane and we were ready for takeoff. My passengers and Flight Attendants boarded and got seated. I exclaimed ¨good morning ladies and gentlemen strap in your seat belts and get ready for the flight¨.

Then we started to Takeoff. It wasn't even 3-4 minutes in the air when we suddenly struck a flock of Canadian geese that caused both engines of the Airbus A320 to both stop working. ¨uh this your pilot speaking, it seems that we have struck a flock of birds we are working to fix it now ¨ I stated. We were starting to descend altitudes at a fast pace. I contacted the Air Traffic Control Center and told them what had happened and they told me to fly back to Laguardia. I knew from my 40 years of experience that I couldn't make it back to the airport . So I decided to land in the Hudson river and not risk all 150 lives aboard this flight today. They replied back ¨ we are sending rescue boats to the scene now¨. The boats arrived and they started to take the passengers one by one off of the plane.A passenger on the plane said ¨thank you captain sully I am so thankful that I am alive¨ ¨anything for my passengers¨ I exclaimed. There were no injuries except some minor injuries such as a laceration in of the flight attendants leg. Some of the passengers suffered from hypothermia because of how frigid the water was. All 155 people made it safely off of flight 1549. I was proud of what I had accomplished and proud that I saved all of these lives today

It was definitely the most beautiful country that I had seen and, in my opinion it still is. The tarmac was busy with all kinds of activity going on.…

September 11, 2001 is a day every american remembers and could never forget. On one ordinary morning, no one could have expected it, in the matter of hours, to take a devastating turn taking lives, distressing families, alarming the government, and terrifying America. For an american, the trauma and destruction of 9/11 could never be disregarded, but many do, in fact, take no notice of the sufferings and torment children, the young ones, fought that day and the days following.…

My parents were taking myself, along with my younger sister and brother, around the globe because they felt a calling from God to be missionaries. All of our possessions were sold off, including my much beloved toys, until everything we had could fit into eight large suitcases. These suitcases are what we carried to the airport as we prepared for our journey. I felt no small amount of apprehension and excitement in what lay ahead of me in the new country, but an event I would experience in the coming flight would forever change and shape my perspective of how I see the…
