The Moving “Your dad got a proposal to move to the United States. It’s up to you. What do you think?” It was in September of 2012. My mom and I were having a snack in the kitchen. We had a proposal to move to the United States. What a different experience we’re going to live! But I wasn’t sure yet. I really wanted to move and have a new experience, but I was already missing everything. My dad was transferred to work in Pennsylvania. We decided to come to live a different experience. If it didn’t work the way we were thinking, we would go back to Brazil. But I had two choices, I could choose to be excited to live in new place and help out on anything or be the problem child and give headache to my parents preventing my dad to do something that he was really happy about. …show more content…
My sisters and I were really excited to see how everything here was different. We couldn’t wait. We were supposed to move on February, right after Carnaval. We sold our cars in January and started packing and donating some of our things. However, due to some paperwork, our travel delayed for about 3 months. Everything was harder without a car, but we went through it. We decided to keep our stuff in a storage since we didn’t know if we were coming back. We were thinking about selling our apartment, but my dad decided to rent it. While all this was going on, I wasn’t going to school. I stayed home and started organizing some of the things. It was fun. We found things that we didn’t even remember they existed. Although, most of the things were getting settled, the days were going by and I was losing the school year. My parents didn’t want that. Without thinking twice, they payed all the fees and put me in school, since we had to possibility of staying and moving only on the following
