Excessively tired, Frequent naps throughout the day? Sounds a lot like Hypersomnia.
Hypersomnia is an excessive sleeping disorder. Diagnosed people have a difficult time staying awake and are likely to fall asleep at work, while driving or anywhere sleepiness crosses their path. . People with this disorder often find it hard to think clearly and often have lack of energy.

Due to genetics Hypersomnia is more common in females than males, and not typically found in children. In order to be diagnosed with hypersomnia the patient will have to undergo a series of test to ensure that the symptoms being complained of are coming from a condition that needs to be treated. A doctor may want you to maintain a sleep diary for two or more weeks, which should include the length of time the moderate daytime sleepiness has afflicted the patient for. Hypersomnia is treated with stimulants like amphetamine and modafinil. Amphetamine is a drug used to help suppress an appetite and modafinil is a drug used to give the body a pump of wakefulness and energy. Other drugs or treatment plans may include maintaining a regular sleeping schedule, buying a new and comfortable bed and pillow, avoiding caffeine or sugar stimulants near
