How To Write A Group Reflection Paper

Decent Essays
For our group project, I was teamed up with Jordin, Jon, and Levi. I thought our group worked well together, we met when we coordinated to meet and accomplished what we needed to. We had to work fast and efficiently, since we had not met before the break. Everything was evenly divided up and then we started to do our parts individually. We all did our parts that we were assigned to do, and I think we did a good job of coordinating them together. We each created our own PowerPoint slide and wrote up our part of the outline. I was able to see and retrieve all the main points that were going to be discussed and then I could begin to write my introduction and conclusion. We finally met up and started to edit our slides and outline while bouncing

Collaboration is the process of working together with others to improve a piece of writing. It is a process in which others revise one’s original work and give the author advise on how to edit their piece of writing. Different perspectives are shared and taken into consideration, thus allowing the author to get a fresh pair of eyes on their writing other than their own. It is a very important step when completing a paper because it helps us be able to see the improvements needed to be made that we might not have noticed. Project 1:…

Our group worked very well together. In the beginning, we had a bit of trouble getting started, but this was mainly due to my absence and the need to fill me in on the project. My group members Marieke, Ronna, Ailey, and Teddy were all very understanding and explained the full assignment to me. We began to make plans for meeting up and mapped out our poster. Each person contributed to the poster, and we had new parts of it completed every class period.…

In the group presentation of Into the Wild I worked with my classmates Alberto, Gerardo, David, Leslie and Maria. We had a pleasing experience working on this project together throughout the assignment. Everyone choose a topic to elaborate correspondly to our claim which basically claimed our support of McCandless fabricating his own decision to go into the wild without having anything or anyone to implicate his decision. I was pleased to know that the group quickly came to an agreement with our claim and we did not contradict each other. The group experience was positive we never clash in divide the work or have a dispute on the how the power point would be displayed, we all included inputs and we agreed on the most exceptional input.…

A significant event in this particular group meeting was that Corey shared with us how he was feeling and tried to share with us what he was going thru, even when he knew that any of us have had the same experience that he has or a similar one. There were some goals expressed, Jen shared that that she was promoted in her job and she is so happy about it and Natalie. T shared that she started the gym as she has planned and that she hopes to continue going. And personally, for the first time I spoke in the group, like I said before, at this point in the group if I have something to say can help a member or make him or her feel better, I will do it. There were not any conflicts, it was a passive meeting this week.…

Writing papers for school has given me the opportunity to learn more about a variety of topics. I returned to college about six years ago after a very lengthy hiatus. I enrolled in three classes at Charter Oak State College (COSC), one accelerated course at a time. At that time some of the more interesting papers that I had written were on Designer Babies and comparing the Modern and Post Modern theories of play. I struggled with the new way of doing research, I originally started college in 1980, but once I got the hang of it I enjoyed learning about the topic.…

Three and a half months have passed by and my final semester and internship with Working Group on Girls is complete. In the past few weeks it was just a rush on editing the advocacy cards to make sure all grammatical errors and the language was appropriate to be presented for the WGG Membership Meeting. On December 3rd, I presented the advocacy cards. It was a wonderful feeling to feel accomplished to present the cards that have been worked for the past three months with Erica. Everyone was very pleased with the result, the research, and time taken from my schedule to do this.…

For the doublespeak group project, four groups comprised of randomly placed students had to work together to create a presentation and quiz about their particular type of doublespeak. The point of the project was to give the class an opportunity to learn and teach the class in order to comprehend the four types of doublespeak. My group had jargon. We all collaborated in and out of class to work on both the quiz and the PowerPoint presentation, and in my opinion did an excellent job. Everyone wrote their own note cards and we did not formally rehearse, but the day of and the day before we went over what everyone would be doing and made sure we were all in agreement and ready to present.…

For me the activity of working as a group especially with other individuals who I have not worked with or talked to before was a good learning experience that had both positive and negative outcomes using Driscoll’s model of reflection as a frame work to elaborate on how I interpreted what happened, what impact the situation had on me and what I will do in the future if presented with a similar situation (Driscoll and Teh, 2001). We were required to do a 10 minute presentation for a health promotion project that we developed. I decided to work with other individuals who I didn’t know and have not worked with before as I believed I would be more productive and respectful if I worked with people I didn’t know very well. For the first tutorial…

On Tuesday October 13, 2015 we had the chance to attend a FMNI workshop put on by Dawn Burleigh and wow what a powerful workshop. This was a very heart felt, eye opening experience for me. The first activity we did was called the “blanket activity”, which highlighted some of the challenges the First Nations, Metis, and Inuit people have faced throughout history. At the beginning, we all stood on the blankets that represented Turtle Island. As the activity progressed, we soon found our selves segregated.…

Throughout the year, as a class we have been given many different challenges in either the form of an essay, speech, or group presentation. The final assignment given to us was a group project presentation. From growing up in an age filled with technology, I have come to love projects that revolve around making some form of a PowerPoint presentation. This PowerPoint though, was both difficult and interesting for the reasons of being assigned group members not of my own choosing, learning to listen to others ideas which can help me to learn something new, and using former knowledge while working together to create a clean, in depth, and well prepared presentation. With working in groups of students whom I have known since I was young but…
