“Don’t you wish something exciting happened, this town is so dull.” I shuck my head we had this conversation every day. She always found life to be boring, I on the other hand was quite satisfied with my routined life. “ You can’t tell me you haven’t even thought about it, something big to shake the whole town. I’d kill for a little excitement.” Too bad she never realized she’d have to be killed for the excitement to start. “ Under the State of Massachusetts, you are hereby found not criminally responsible on account of having a mental disorder.” The words echoed through the courthouse. I quickly got out of bed and walked down the stairs calling her name again-still no answer. “ Spencer are you okay?” I looked around the downstairs, where was she I heard a floorboard creaky. I started to turn around when I saw the window was shattered, I began to rushed over to the phone. I heard another floorboard creak, I tried to dial 9-1-1, I was trembling when another floorboard creak, than other, and other. The receiver picked up but not before I heard another voice.
It was cold, “ Put the phone down now” I tried to say something but I couldn’t I froze. The receiver picked up and asked what was wrong but the voice spoke over it, “ Hang up the phone now or they won’t be capable of finding your body” I placed the phone back on the hook.
“Please don’t I-” my voice was shaking, I rested my head against the wall keeping my back to the voice, I couldn’t turn around and face it. I heard his steps move closer to me, but there was nothing I could do. He placed a firm hand on my shoulder and tried to turn me around. I refused “Where is she ?” He didn’t reply just laughed and tried to turn me around again, but I didn’t move.
