Dropping out! If my mother ever heard those words out of me, I’m quite sure I would be a dead man. Sharpstown High School in Houston which is 1 of 260 high schools in Houston with a majority of its students being Hispanic and African-American. Sharpstown has been known to have many dropouts within their school. According, to the documentary most or close to all of their students are at risk of dropping out or not graduating.
An education means you have accomplished something worthwhile. If you don’t have an education you probably won’t accomplish much but that doesn’t mean you can’t. Hopefully, I will get a job with this degree then have a family. I guess that will depend on where I’m at. I’m might move to another state. It’s hard to plan something you have no complete control.
I need to focus on a job and getting money for college. I will need to save right now or I will definitely need financial aid and scholarships to help pay for it. I will need to be responsible with my money if I buy stuff. I will need to focus on school to get good grades. If this all goes as planned which is highly unlikely things will be looking good.
Respect is to acknowledge that somebody is worth you attention and focus. If you respect people, people will respect you. If you can’t respect others that means others won’t respect you. If you are a leader of a squad and your squad doesn’t respect you then your squad will fail as a team. Respect is very important to you and others.
