Though I could claim that these two days weren’t my healthiest of days, I still found patterns that I can identify as fairly consistent. Beginning with the optimistic side of things, I only overate the recommended intake of sugar by one gram on the first day of the analysis. Along the same lines, I had room to eat more sodium by the end of the first day. I made fairly good snack choices, aside from dessert, with such foods as peanut butter and fat-free pretzels. For dessert, I kept the portion sizes down which helped a lot, though I still have lots of room for improvement. I also noticed that I ate practically no vegetables and fruits, which are constantly stressed as the most important part of our diet. I could start to improve dinner by using a smaller plate so my portion sizes don’t feel so small. It would also help if I took less the first time I fill up my plate, so if I feel inclined to get seconds, I won’t be taking much more than one serving size. I need to concentrate, in general, on eating to satiety rather than eating until I feel full. This would help decrease how much of a snack I eat, as well as how much I eat during the various meals. Lastly, it would greatly improve my general health if I would start to consume more

Based on the comparison data that has been compiled from my 3-day food diary on Eatracker, running from March 13th to March 15th, each day I basically ate meals that consisted of the same food with small substitutions between the 3 days. For instance, for breakfast I would have my lemon water and omelet everyday and dinner I would usually have chicken with a side dish that could vary from roasted potatoes, Caesar salad or brown rice and for. Now since most of meals for each day consisted of the same food, any of the 3 days could best represent my typical eating pattern. The day that I chose to analyze was the second day, March 14th 2016. To begin, by examining my nutrient intake based on my food intake for March 14th, the nutrients that…

I will defiantly continue using my plate as a guideline to plan my meals.
