Julie Fisher advised she was on her way home from work at Lifepath Hospice at 3010 W Azeele Street. Fisher said she turned from Hanley Road onto Waters Avenue and was driving in the center lane. Fisher said she slowed down to to avoid debris she saw in the road. Fisher related she then saw a woman laying in the roadway when she was illuminated with her headlights. Fisher related she then stopped her car to to the woman to protect her for other traffic. Fisher advised she got out of her car and checked the woman to see if she was breathing and had a pulse. Fisher said she detected neither. Fisher said she then stood by until emergency workers arrived.
